Under the Radar: Check Masses
Andy McGroarty and Philly Angelo Collins have a hip-hop and soul CV dating back almost 30 years, while Vic Galloway has been hosting his genre-stretching show on Radio Scotland for two decades. Check Masses began collaborating back in 2016 and their collection of songs is the musical equivalent of slow food, combining a tasty mix of ingredients from reggae to psychedelic surf guitar. Their debut album, Nightlife, is released on the excellent Triassic Tusk Records in June, while a second single, Lonesome Little Paradise, came out on Friday. We recommend, ahem, checking them out. https://bit.ly/checkmasses
