Aberdeen songwriter Katie Mackie has supported a range of former Under the Radar artists, including superstar Lewis Capaldi and Zoe Graham, as well as the likes of Heather Small from M People.

A member of Glasgow band American Clay, she released her brilliant debut album Kick It in the Head in 2018. Her new single, Glow, was released on Friday, and although it was written during a period of loss it is a surprisingly uplifting slice of electro-pop.

Mackie has performed at festivals including True North, for BBC Introducing, and most recently appeared in a virtual gig for University of the Highlands and Islands. She also donated 50 per cent of the income from her song Glass of Wine to youth mental health charity Tiny Changes, set up by Frightened Rabbit in memory of Scott Hutchison.
