Few artists could have been better prepared for lockdown than Alex Amor, who in 2018 set up a studio in a stair cupboard at her parent’s Glasgow home, spent two months in creative self-isolation and used technology to work remotely with producers.

After finishing a degree in textiles in Dundee, she moved to London, where a chance meeting led to her being introduced to her manager and one of the UK’s most respected booking agents. Collaborating with producer Karma Kid, she has worked on several tracks due to be released regularly in the coming months. The first, The Part With Each Other, is a sophisticated dreamy pop number infused with a hint of 60s chic and gives a taste of what listeners can look forward to.
