More than 400,000 fireworks were launched during the concert in Princes Street Gardens in a display designed by Keith Webb of Pyrovision, synchronised to music performed live by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Clark Rundell.
And you can relive the spectacle in just 42 seconds with our timelapse video.
Around 250,000 spectators watched the event across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife, with visitors to the Scottish capital joined residents to fill Princes Street Gardens, the surrounding streets and vantage points across the city, to enjoy the annual finale to the International Festival and the closing event of Edinburgh’s summer festival season.
In the past eight years, as the event has grown in stature and size to become the biggest fireworks concert of its kind in the world, more than 1,750,000 people have enjoyed the event from vantage points across the city.
This year’s concert celebrated the 100th anniversary of legendary American composer Leonard Bernstein.
