Theatre review: Giant

Impressive set design and strong technical work at least mean this very earnest foray into clowning and physical theatre is easy on the eyes

There’s also a discernible Jacques Tati influence which elevates a couple of scenes into competent successful satires of modern life.

However, a great deal of this exploration of “living as part of Generation Y” remains resolutely unfunny and occasionally mystifying.
