Stunning image of North Berwick storm wins top award

THIS stunning image of a storm over North Berwick was named as one of the top winners in the Scottish Seabird Centre's Photographer of the Year competition.

Lightning over the Harbour’, by North Berwick local Cameron Henderson, saw him pick up the Landscape Photographer of the Year award in the competition.

And Christopher McLeod won the public vote in the Worldlife Wildlife category for his image of a stag in Richmond Park, London, entitled ‘Hide ‘n’ Seek’.

The Scottish Seabird Centre, which opened in 2000, revealed more than 500 entries had been submitted for consideration in the competition.

Judges included enironmental photographer Lorne Gill, who has tasted success in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year and European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competitions; Scottish Field magazine editor Richard Bath and landscape and nature snapper Graham Riddell.
