PREVIEW: Classical Spectacular to dazzle Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

Classical Spectacular – a sensational show of the very best classical music, dazzling lights and special effects – is coming to Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 3pm.

Taking the spotlight is the Scottish Concert Orchestra conducted by Michael Bawtree with guest tenor Christopher Turner and prize-winning violin soloist and composer, Joo Yeon Sir.

No other show presents such a magnificent combination of the very best in classical music with lights and lasers, say promoters Raymond Gubbay.

Ranging from a flood of pure white light to electrifying multi-coloured laser displays, the dazzling special effects bring to life the scenes and moods evoked by each glorious piece.

The set list will include Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending, Verdi La donna è mobile from Rigoletto, Rossini Galop from William Tell Overture, Monti Csárdás, Mascagni Intermezzo from Cavalleria rusticana, Strauss Blue Danube Waltz, Puccini’s Nessun Dorma, plus an explosive performance of Ravel’s Bolero.

This event has been rescheduled from last year and an original date of November 15, 2020. All original tickets remain valid.
