Pen your own ‘Fifty Shades...’ with erotic writing workshop

EROTIC fiction has undergone something of a renaissance over the last few months. Blame EL James’ Fifty Shades of Grey.

Even those old romantics at Mills & Boon have got in on the act, and thanks to them, you can, too.

Next Thursday, Mills & Boon editors Anna Boatman and Flo Nicoll will share the tricks of the trade with budding writers when Pulp Fiction on Bread Street hosts the Capital’s first erotic writing workshop.

Based on The Original Sinners, Mills & Boon’s erotic fiction series from author Tiffany Reisz, the hour-and-a-half workshop will focus on how the author can lead the reader into the world of erotica.

Guests will hear about the history of erotica, the market at present and how to create niches in their writing, to allow them to stand out from the crowd.

The interactive workshop will also include a writing session to teach attendees how to turn a simple product into an object of desire.

There will also be a copy of Reisz’s latest erotic novel, The Prince to take home.
