New Scottish music: Sweaty Palms

Glaswegian quartet Sweaty Palms' latest EP, Love Me / Pretty Poor, was recorded at Green Door Studios in Glasgow and will be released on Friday on 7' vinyl and download via new label Black Sheep Records.

From their social media posts to their gig posters and their lyrics, Sweaty Palms possess a wonderfully dark, observational humour in all that they do. And while Love Me / Pretty Poor is a refreshingly brilliant record, their brand of scuzzy, lo-fi punk and grunge is best experienced live. They play tonight at the George Orwell in Dundee, on Friday at Glasgow’s Broadcast (their official EP launch), on the T Break stage at T In The Park on 10 July and at Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s on 15 July. They then embark on a UK tour that includes dates in London, Cardiff, and Manchester, and perform at Electric Fields Festival on 26 August. Listen at: https://soundcloud.com/sweaty-palms-2
