My lovely boss at GMTV, Peter McHugh, bid for a Dolce & Gabbana clutch bag for me at an auction and won. I was so overjoyed.

I love Victoria Beckham's style – it's just so timeless and classic.

Name your favourite high street shop. I really love Mango. I have just bought two pairs of their satin trousers in black and brown.

What are you addicted to buying?

Handbags are my thing and I have three Suzy Smiths.

Any fashion disasters you'd care to tell us about?

There have been so many on television. I can't really wear orange, for example. I once wore a bright-orange dress from M&S and the station had so many complaints.

What's your favourite item in your wardrobe?

Right now it's a cream wool Reiss jacket with detachable sleeves.
