The opening event, which was organised by Legion Scotland, Scotland’s largest veterans’ membership charity, saw wreaths laid in memory of those who have fallen in conflict.

Around 60 veterans laid wreaths, poppies and wooden crosses and were joined at the event by members of the public who paid their respects.
