THIS image of the Grassmarket in Edinburgh shows how the North side of the street has changed in 100 years.

The Black Bull Inn is still there today, albeit in a different building, and the giant Tattoo stand overlooking Edinburgh Castle’s parade ground contradicts the tapestry of roof tops which peered over the thoroughfare a century ago.
