Local Buzz: EH1 Live

WITH a strong emphasis on emerging talent, EH1 Live returns for its second outing in the Capital this Sunday.

Edinburgh’s own music festival sees more than 50 bands playing throughout the day across five venues – Sneaky Pete’s, Cabaret Voltaire, Liquid Rooms, Electric Circus and Whistlebinkies – promising a multi-dimensional exploration of Scotland’s emerging music talent.

EH1 Live has a strong indie-rock vibe to it and gig-goers will be sure to find some real gems amongst the line-up, which includes The Phantom Band, The Lysergic Suite, The OK Social Club, Modern Faces, The Stagger Rats, Tommy Reilly, Mearsualt, The Lafontaine’s, Vigo Thieves, Make Sparks and Hip Parade.

Other acts taking part include The 10:04s, The Imagineers, The
Merrylees, Aaron Wright, The Rahs, Miniature Dinosaurs, Jack Rowberry, The Gold Lions, The Holy Ghosts, Detours, Dead Sea Souls, Six Storeys High and The Directors.

“It’s the perfect way to support Edinburgh’s music scene whilst taking advantage of the opportunity to see the finest collection of Scottish unsigned music in one day,” say the
organisers.

“With whispers claiming that Edinburgh’s music scene is far inferior to Glasgow’s, EH1 Live provides the perfect platform to put these doubts to bed.

“EH1 Live is becoming one of the most anticipated dates on Scotland music’s calendar and couldn’t offer Scotland’s music fans a better way to discover new talent.”
