Festivities began on Friday afternoon when bands from 17 countries – as far afield as Canada, Mexico and Zimbabwe – marched through the city centre, stopping to play for crowds of shoppers and tourists. It
followed a week of events
and performances that took place under the banner “Piping Live!”

This was the first time the event was held over two days.

The Worlds marks the end of the festival.
