It’s back: The Scotsman Radar Prize

Radar, the new music blog from The Scotsman and scotsman.com, has launched its competition to find the best unsigned band or solo artist in Scotland.

Now in its second year, the Scotsman Radar Prize is open to any unsigned artists based in Scotland who enter a demo track.

The entries will be judged by music writers from Radar and The Scotsman, with a winner and runners-up announced in November.

Among the prizes on offer is a recording session at the famous Chem 19 studio, a professionally produced video and a global distribution package.

Last year’s competition was won by Glasgow band French Wives, who went on to record and release an EP.

Entries to the Scotsman Radar Prize close on Wednesday 26 October.
