Edinburgh’s famous skyline is recognised the world over, with historic buildings and landmarks peppering the landscape as far as the eye can see.

But the oldest of these landmarks often go unnoticed - the ancient volcanic past of the area has bequeathed the city a stunning array of hills, which elevate the assorted towers and tenements, or provide a stunning backdrop to the Capital
