Hugh just gloves Mini Olympics

EIGHT-year-old Hugh Convery packed a punch at the launch of a Mini Olympics at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

The fun-packed family event will see a range of sports-inspired arts events taking place at the Queen Street attraction from Sunday until the end of August. Children aged four and over will have the chance to win a gold medal and stand proudly on the gallery’s winner’s podium.

Clara Govier, from the People’s Postcode Lottery which funds the event, said: “The Olympic-inspired games provides a fantastic, free opportunity for families to have fun while learning about the importance of art to our nation.”
