Fringe show soldiers visit Poppy vets

Wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women starring in a hit Fringe production, The Two Worlds of Charlie F, will take a break from performing to meet veterans from Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory today.

The play features real-life servicemen and women and has been produced by the Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Trust along with Poppyscotland, The Royal British Legion and Defence Recovery Capability.

After critically acclaimed performances in London, Birmingham and Cardiff, The Two Worlds of Charlie F is making its Scottish debut at the Fringe, running at the Pleasance Grand until Saturday.

During the visit to the factory, in Warriston Road, cast members will meet the 40 veterans with disabilities who hand assemble more than five million poppies every year for the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
