Fife mill chimneys come crashing down after 98 years

ONE of Fife’s industrial landmarks was wiped from the skyline yesterday when the chimneys of the Caldwell’s Paper Mill in Inverkeithing were blown up.

The mill was built in 1914 and had been bought over twice by the time it closed its doors in 2002.

The site has been derelict since then, although the chimneys had served as a reminder of the town’s industrial past.
