Theatre review: It’s Dark Outside
“Are you sure you can cope with a show by the people who did The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik,” someone asked me when I told them I was going to see this. Probably not, I thought. I’d heard the stories of audience members, two years ago, leaving the venue in tears. I knew I’d probably be doing the same today, but sometimes it’s a small price to pay for seeing a great piece of theatre.
Comedy review: Die Roten Punkte
After four years away (during which one dreads to think what they might have been up to) Die Roten Punkte (The Red Dots), enthusiastic proponents of Kunst Rock (Art Rock), are back. To say the relationship between the band’s sibling performers, Astrid and Otto Rot, is dysfunctional would be merely to scratch the surface.

Five years ago we entered the madness of the Fringe as three relatively young and extremely fit men with a comedy dream. We wanted a TV series and we would put our bodies through anything to make that goal a reality.
It’s 3am somewhere in the world. Though I’m not sure where. I’m on an overnight flight to Edinburgh. Time has no meaning in these situations. Sleep on the other hand… I have only gotten three hours of sleep in two days.
