Edinburgh Festival Fringe: Comics ready for all-night marathon

MORE than 40 comedy acts are being lined up for an all-night live Fringe festival broadcast from Edinburgh.

The BBC show, in its pop-up venue at Potterrow, will run from 9pm on Friday through until 5am on Saturday.

The Comedy Marathon, which will be broadcast via the BBC’s “red button” service, will be hosted by Chris Ramsey, Andrew Maxwell and Susan Calman. Comics lined up to appear include Daniel Sloss, Des Clarke, Janey Godley, Jimmy Cricket, Paul Foot and Phil Kay.

The BBC will also broadcast highlights at a later date.
