DVD review: Safe

What is it? The latest ultra-violent action thriller vehicle for Jason Statham. Here he plays Luke Wright – not the performance poet, but a New York cop turned cagefighter who ends up on the streets after the Russian Mob murders his wife.

By chance he runs into a young maths prodigy who is caught up in a turf war between rival gangs and is in need of protection.
