Comedy review: Kriss Foster And The Very Small Museum
Star rating: ***
Venue: Globe Bar (Venue 161)
All the stories are linked to exhibits in the Very Small Museum and the order in which we hear them is determined by the audience, and a tense game of Pass The Museum. Foster is also a singer and we get some lovely songs about things that pop up in the show, like his cat. And the Cumberland Pencil Museum. There is a tragic tale of lost love at Bolton West Services, some Scrabble-based entertainment, a list of things Kriss likes. He is a genuinely engaging performer and by the time he faces his demons to play Daisy Daisy on the violin, we are all willing him on. Fans of EF Schumacher will already know that Small is Beautiful. It is also very funny.
Until 28 August. Tomorrow 6pm.
