Comedy review: Jan Ravens: Difficult Woman

Edinburgh Festival Fringe: If watching a woman do a reasonably good impression of Theresa May on stage is what you want from the Fringe, then knock yourself out.

Gilded Balloon Teviot (Venue 14)

**

Ravens does Theresa May, Diane Abbott and Nicola Sturgeon alongside a selection of voices from Radio Four.

She also chucks in ruminations on getting older, having grown-up children and looking after aged parents.

There is a loose idea that women are treated unfairly in public life but it is undermined by some of the
lazy observations in the script.

The material is so bland
and blindingly obvious you can see every punchline coming from a million miles away.

Until 27 August. Tomorrow 7pm.
