Comedy review: Ed Night: I'm Amazed It Has A Title

He’s as fresh as they come, with a newly-changed name and a smart haircut dramatically different from the unwieldy mop on his poster. But Ed Night has been coming to the Fringe for years, as the child of a theatre family, and he has comedy running through his veins.
He does some funny relaxed chat about the attic room and about his Edinburgh flat. He tells us why he had to change his name and then cleverly shoehorns in all the material he lost – which was based on his real name.

Hide AdLike all baby comics, his material is limited by his experience. He talks about his mum and dad, living in south London, drinking with his mates and doing crappy jobs to get by. But there is an amazing assurance and confidence in his delivery and some really well-written jokes.
There’s a touch of politics too, which suggests a thoughtful, compassionate outlook on life. Night is modest and unassuming as can be – but very classy with it. I can’t wait to see his debut hour.
