It’s been one of the fastest-growing destinations in recent years for Scots looking for sun, sea and sand - and it’s cheaper than home for most things.

With around four million British visitors last year alone, Turkey is a tourist hotspot that boasts beautiful cities, golden beaches, fascinating history and wonderful food and drink.

The blue waters of the Aegean and Mediterranean Sea coasts are traditionally the top draw for Scottish holidaymakers, but in recent years Istanbul has also become a popular city break destination.
