Zemmama to return for Hibs' Falkirk clash

HIBS boss John Hughes today revealed that playmaker Merouane Zemmama is on course to make a welcome return to his side for Saturday's clash with Falkirk at Easter Road.

The little Moroccan, who has been so influential for Hughes this season, has missed the last two matches with a groin injury.

But he's now back in full training and Hughes admits he'll be pleased to see Zemmama back in action for the visit of his old club this weekend.

"I'm hopeful that Zouma will be back for Saturday," he said. "After only being able to do a bit of training last week, he's now back in full swing. It will be good to get him back because we've missed him and the natural width he gives the team."

Hughes is also hopeful that Kevin McBride will be in contention to face Falkirk, his old club, after a scan revealed that the midfielder hadn't suffered a serious injury in the 1-1 draw with St Mirren last weekend.

McBride was forced to limp off after just 17 minutes in Paisley but Hughes added: "The scan didn't show up anything and he's getting treatment.

"He's probably touch and go for Saturday but I'm hoping he'll respond to the treatment and might make the Falkirk game."

The Bairns will arrive in the Capital buoyed by their first win of the season and Hughes says he's hoping to see the Bairns climb away from the foot of the SPL over the coming months.

"I will always be grateful to Falkirk and I wish them all the best in their bid for survival.

"However, I am also hoping that they won't be picking up three points on Saturday."
