Jamie Muir, Leith: "It's taken its time but the long wait for a win has ended. We had a few chances and took them but we were up against it as Falkirk looked the stronger team, especially in the second half."

Donald Firth, Leith: "Falkirk had a lot of possession but no real threat. It was great to see us win again although we struggled towards the end. My man of the match was Stack, who made a few decent saves."

Simon Barnes, Granton: "We didn't play at our best but we won so who cares? Men of the match were Derek Riordan in the first half and in the second half it was Sol Bamba who was the main man. He scored one and won all of his challenges."

Steven Southgate, Leith: "Three or four times Graham Stack saved us but if you don't score goals you don't win games. I suppose that's why Falkirk are bottom of the league."

Mark Young, Leith: "I'm more relieved than anything else. I thought we did enough to win as a wee bit luck was on our side as well, which always helps. Yogi persists with a very light midfield and a better team would have punished us because of this."

Jimmy Black, Leith: "Derek Riordan – what a player. Superb free kick and he was our danger man all day. If he' had a bit better service he would have scored more goals."

Paul Brines, Duddingston: "Us winning was a wee bit embarrassing as we were outplayed for most of the game. I couldn't wait for the final whistle as we were pegged back a lot of the time. We just got over the line and won the game."

John Dowie, Portobello: "We found a wee bit of form from somewhere. In the first half we were good and won the game in that period. In the second half we just stopped them scoring and won the game in the end. Best player for us was Sol Bamba."

Chris Cameron, Leith: "We thrashed them 3-1 but we were worse than last week. Yogi got away with it again."

Ross Donaldson, Trinity: "I enjoyed us winning the game as we bounced back from the poor games last week. We were lucky enough to win the points and the players responded better at last. We took our chances and that won us the game."

Ross Williams, Wardie: "We concentrated better in defence and got a result. My best player was Steven Thicot – he covered the defence and won a lot of challenges."

Ian Strang, Leith: "I thought that we lost our way in the second half but we had the game won by then with a good performance mainly during the first half. Derek Riordan and Sol Bamba were our best players and maybe confidence will now return for the rest of the season."

Thomas Fagen, Muirhouse: "I hope this is a change of fortune for us as we scored the goals that got the three points, but basically we didn't have to play all that well to win this game as they were, as the league shows, rotten."

William Marney, Duddingston: "All the players seemed up for it and they got us the points. A few players didn't play all that well but the main ones did and that was enough."
