Steve Beattie, Newington: "An absolutely shocking performance from Hearts. It was as if the players had no awareness of the importance of the game. We could have played all night and not scored a goal."

Alan Nelson, Gilmerton: "Another awful performance from Hearts. If Jefferies didn't know how big his task was, he does now. We need to clear out the rubbish and instil the passion and pride that we're badly short of."

Gary Lawrence, Northfield: "We got exactly what we deserved out of the game. That was a spineless performance. JJ has so much work to do. I don't think that we'll get near the top six. Abysmal."

Neil Harper, Brunstane: "I was embarrassed by the team's performance. We handed St Mirren the goal on a plate and if it hadn't been for Kello, it could have been worse. St Mirren deserve their final place."

Mark Finch, Livingston: "We were absolutely clueless. One of the worst performances that I've ever seen from a Hearts team."

John Wilson, Edinburgh: "We have absolutely no cause for complaints. We were dire. We barely had an effort on goal all night long. JJ needs time to turn the club around but we need new players too in the summer."

Gary Russell, Newtongrange: "The lack of passion from the side was the most worrying thing. Their goalkeeper didn't have a save to make. An easy win for St Mirren against a poor Hearts side."

Alan Walls, Gilmerton: "It was a carbon copy of the defeat against St Johnstone. We didn't kick a ball until the final 20 minutes. The injury problems are crippling us at the moment."

Craig Bennett, Chesser: "That was an absolutely disgraceful performance. We might have a new boss in but the performance was the same old rubbish as we've served up all season."

Alec Deans, Northfield: "I'm so angry after watching such an inept performance. We had a great chance to make a national final and we blew it big time. Our season is over after this defeat."

John Bevan, Gorgie: "You can't fluke your way into a cup final, you have to earn it and we didn't do that last night. It was absolutely terrible to watch. Only Zaliukas played well for us."
