Peter Harper, Tollcross: "A fantastic win for Hearts. I thought that we did brilliantly in the second half and thoroughly deserved the win. The referee was a complete joke from start to finish."

John Bannister, Gilmerton: "Brilliant stuff from Hearts. The spirit and determination that JJ has brought to the club was there for everyone to see on Saturday. That could hopefully seal our top-six place."

Scott Bannister, Gilmerton: "A great win for Hearts. After Kingston was sent off, I didn't fancy us much but we rolled the sleeves up and got stuck in. Jonsson's goal was fantastic."

Paul Cullen, Marchmont: "It was a gritty, hard-working performance from Hearts. We had everything go against us but we never gave up and deserved to win the game."

Alex Gray, Aberdeen: "I can't believe that we took all three points from this match. Even with ten men, we tried to push forward and kill the game off. The sending off of Larry Kingston was an unbelievable decision. The referee was dreadful."

Steve McGill, Danderhall: "That is an absolutely massive victory for Hearts. Injuries and suspensions are mounting up and the next few games look tough but, if we can show that kind of attitude, we can take a lot of points."

Mark Arnold, Edinburgh: "It was a great team performance from Hearts. Every player worked their socks off and battled for the points. Jim Jefferies has made a huge difference to the club."

William Oliver, Shandon: "I thought that we completely deserved to win the game despite the best efforts of the referee. Every big decision went against us. I'm proud of the team after this display."

Jamie Clunie, Longstone: "To have come to Pittodrie and played on a terrible surface with ten men for nearly half the game with a makeshift side and won is a superb achievement. Well done to JJ and the players."

Tommy Conway, Wester Hailes: "A really good performance from Hearts. It is definitely a win against the odds for us. I hope that we can use this win as a platform to secure a top-six place."

Car, Elphinstone: "Well done Eggy – a great goal and good win on a difficult pitch. Larry Kingston's red card was harsh but he doesn't want to play – look how long he took to come on. I hope JJ gets rid of him and Christian Nade in the summer. I thought the midfield was lost a bit with Michael Stewart back. I hope Zaliukas is okay but well done to David Obua, who had a good second half at the back – maybe that is his position. Good result lads and same again on Sunday."

Wee Keith, Albion Terrace: "It may have been a long trek but it was well worth it. We were just too strong and skilful for the Dons, although they had their moments. Things are good in the goalkeeping department at the moment and long may it continue. Janos Balogh had a good game. Jamie Mole was steady, as were Jason Thompson, Lee Wallace and Marius Zaliukas, with Eggert Jonsson giving us the goal we deserved. Goodness knows what is going on in Larry Kingston's head at the moment. He had a great chance to prove himself, but got sent off for his stupidity."
