Alan Taylor, Tollcross: "We didn't turn up for this game. We could have played all day and wouldn't have scored. A disappointing result and display."

Michael Jamieson, Sighthill: "A really poor performance. We didn't put them under enough pressure. We can't have any complaints. Zaliukas was the man of the match for us."

Alan Jamieson, Sighthill: "We were muscled out of the game. We never had an answer to Rangers' physical players. They dominated possession and we couldn't get our foot on the ball."

Gordon Wilson, Morningside: "I think that we came looking for a 0-0 draw. We had no cutting edge in the final third and we really struggled to create chances. Not good enough."

David Binnie, Woodburn: "That was like a performance from the Laszlo era. We were solid enough at the back but we lacked ambition going forward. Jamie MacDonald was probably our best player."

Ryan Howard, Stockbridge: "A really poor performance. We looked disjointed and we gave the ball away too cheaply at times. We went down without putting up much of a fight."

John Brownlie, Livingston: "Losing such a cheap goal after half-time gave us a mountain to climb but we never looked up to the task. There was no goal threat from Hearts all game."

Brian Davie, Craigroyston: "We will need to play much better than that if we're going to win any of our remaining games. We were terrible in the final third yesterday."

James Hill, Fountainbridge: "We let ourselves down with a fairly flat performance. We showed Rangers far too much respect and allowed them to completely dictate the game."

Paul Millar, Westfield: "I felt that our tactics were too negative. All we tried to do was soak up pressure and hit them on the break but we didn't play well enough and never really troubled Rangers."

Car, Elphinstone: "That was not good enough from Hearts. Larry Kingston was at it again after claiming he's no faker but he is hes quite happy to take a big wage and contribute very little. Suso was lazy and why does Jefferies not keep Ruben Palazuelos at left back – he is much better there and we didn't play well at the back with Ismael Bouzid returning. I just hope Vlad doesn't offer Kingston or Christina Nade new deals as we need to offload the high earners and low contributors. We must get a proven striker in for the new season. To beat Motherwell on Saturday and then Hibs, we must play a lot better and play for the jerseys. Coe on boys, show you've got what it takes."

Wee Keith, Albion Terrace: "It was very well-contested match by both teams. We gave as good as we got and held them off for long enough before a defensive error and we went one down. It looked to me like the ref was card happy and he made a few mistakes. Larry Kingston was strong, as was Suso Santana but, in the dying minutes a soft push led to a penalty and another goal, which was a bit unfair I thought. Jamie MacDonald played his heart out, giving a great display and could not be blamed for the score. All in all, we played a good game and deserved a draw."
