Winter Olympics: Norwegians bring colour to the ice

THE Norwegian men's team are doing their bit to spice up the traditional world of curling at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Black trousers, socks and shoes are the usual order of the day for male curlers such as Scotland's David Murdoch, but the Norwegians took to the ice for a practice session this week in their national colours, wearing garish white golf trousers with small red and blue diamonds all over them.

It was unclear whether the snazzy slacks had been modelled on John Daly or Ian Poulter, but they certainly brought a bit of colour to the ice.
