Winger wins best try award

HAMILTON winger Chris Stannage has been awarded the accolade of RBS Try of the Month for September after finishing off a sweeping move against West of Scotland.

Stannage, 19, said: “I didn’t know I was being nominated for the award so it was a complete surprise when I found out. We have started our year well after gaining promotion into RBS Premier 2 at the end of last season, winning our first four games. I have played for the club since I was four years old, so to get this award is a real honour.”
