Welfare comfortable at home of students

Midway through the first half Whitehill's Jordan Hall found space and lashed a volley off the crossbar from an acute angle.

However, on the stroke of half time the pressure from the away side was rewarded. A neat interchange down the left between Whitehill winger Robertson and Scott Gormley created an opening for Ross Allum, who spun full back Chris McKee and rifled past Sam Filler in the Stirling goal.

An uninspiring second half display by the students made a comeback look improbable and on 60 minutes a low, driven Daryl Devlin free-kick from 22 yards crept beyond the reaches of Stirling goalkeeper Filler and nestled in the bottom corner. The visitors then held on comfortably for the three points.
