Watson's head west chasing fourth straight final

EDINBURGH Academy, George Watson's College and Stewart's-Melville College will all be aiming for double representation at Murrayfield two weeks on Thursday by securing places in the final of the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools Cup at both under-15 and under-18 levels. The two under-15 semi-finals today are at Auldhouse in Glasgow where Hutchesons' Grammar School play George Watson's College and at Newfield where Edinburgh Academy face Stewart's-Melville College.

Watson's will go to Glasgow as favourites to win their semi-final, and if they do, it will mean a fourth successive appearance in the final for the Myreside team. Certainly form favours the Edinburgh College, Watson's having won their quarter-final in Aberdeen against Robert Gordon's College by 50-0.

At Newfield, Edinburgh Academy, the defending under-15 champions, will start as favourites against Stewart's-Melville, despite only just reaching the last four with a 13-10 home win over North Berwick High School.

Stewart's-Melville have blended as a team this season and go into the semi-final against Academy on the back of a good win over Hutchesons' Grammar last weekend.
