Wallace Booth back on sidelines

Wallace Booth is back on the sidelines after his niggling neck and shoulder problem returned to add further frustration to an injury-hit professional career.

The 25-year-old from Comrie joined the paid ranks after the 2009 Walker Cup but lost five months of his rookie campaign last year with the complex injury as he struggled to gain a foothold in the pro game.

Booth, part of Scotland's 2008 Eisenhower Trophy winning team, travelled to the US at the turn of the year to warm up for the new season. But having been forced out of an NGA Hooters Tour event in Florida earlier this month, the former Scottish Strokeplay champion has found himself spending more time with an Atlanta physio than on the golf course.

"It's the same problem as last year and the recovery isn't going to happen overnight, unfortunately," said Booth, who hopes to return to the UK next month for the start of the PGA EuroPro Tour campaign. "It's frustrating but I just have to be patient."
