Wales add insult to injury for Scots

INJURY-hit Scotland slumped to one of their worst ever defeats at the hands of Wales, going down 75-49 in the fifth place play-off in the Euro C Championship in Malta.

Only 18-year-old Josh Crolley (Cumnock) with 12 points and Glasgow's Ike Attah with ten shone for the Scots, who were without three of their starting five players. Steve Leven and Laurie Costello both sat out the game through injuries, while Ross Campbell had already gone home due to a family illness. "Without most of our back court players there was little we could do, though I give them full marks for effort," said coach Bob Taft.
