Volleyball: Watt hails Jets

Former City of Edinburgh setter Gavin Watt is backing the Scottish volleyball champions to push for honours after coming out of their winter slump.

Edinburgh, who won the John Syer Trophy in December, suffered three successive league losses before bouncing back with wins over Edinburgh Jets and City of Glasgow Ragazzi.

Tomorrow, Edinburgh face Bon Accord in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup, the only trophy they have yet to win. And Watt, who left Edinburgh last August to sign for French side Amiens Metropole, said: "The team is more than capable of bouncing back."
