Volleyball: Title-chasing City of Edinburgh come out of cold storage

CITY OF EDINBURGH resume their quest for their first men's Scottish Volleyball League title tomorrow after a prolonged winter break.

The first division programme was kept on ice last weekend due to Scotland's involvement in the Novotel Cup in Luxembourg, where City had player-coach Barry McGuigan and setter Gavin Watt on international duty.

The unbeaten league leaders return to club commitments tomorrow against second-bottom Edinburgh Jets, who are hoping for a good turnout for the fixture and are planning a charity day with proceeds raised going to Cash For Kids.

Reigning champions Glasgow Mets are at Troon PA and Kilmarnock will hope to pick up full points against Team Fife.

In the women's first division, second-placed Edinburgh Jets will expect to keep the pressure on leaders Troon PA as they take on struggling North Lanarkshire.

Third-placed City of Edinburgh host Su Ragazzi, just a point below them, in the match of the day.
