Volleyball: Su Ragazzi in new-look City's sights

Scottish women's volleyball champions City of Edinburgh have revenge on their minds tomorrow when they travel to Coltness to face Su Ragazzi in the Schelde Sports Scottish League.

The Capital side lost a five-setter to Ragazzi in the John Syer Trophy but were without three key players due to injury and holidays.

Claire Penny will be missing again this weekend due to a knee injury and Mel Coutts, Scotland's player of the year last season, admits the new-look team is still finding its feet.

"Things are a bit unsettled at the moment," she said, "But we have two new players - Rina Hemmers from Germany and Kamilla Zakoutska from the Czech Republic - and they have both helped us."

Edinburgh are still unbeaten in the league and lead the table on set difference from Troon PA at this early stage.

Edinburgh Jets are also head west tomorrow to take on North Lanarkshire which should be a tight contest.

In the men's first division, City of Edinburgh host Kilmarnock Blaze at Queensferry High in the match of the day.
