Volleyball: Samba stars deny Shauna

Edinburgh's Shauna Mullin and English partner Zara Dampney saw their run in the FIVB Grand Slam beach volleyball event in Stavanger, Norway, come to an end when they lost 10-21, 18-21, to Brazilian pair Maria Clara and Carol Salgado.

The GB pair had earlier gained their first win in the main draw of an FIVB Grand Slam when they beat Norwegians Janne Kongshavn and Ragnhild Aas 17-21, 21-18, 15-11.

The GB pair eventually had to be content with third place in their group after losing 15-21, 19-21 to the Czech pair Krystina Kolocova and Marketa Sukova but they progressed to face the Brazilians.
