Volleyball: McGuigan ready for derby

CITY OF EDINBURGH volleyball player-coach Barry McGuigan has set his team's sights on the one trophy that has so far eluded him - the Scottish Cup.

The Capital side missed out on the treble last year when they lost in the cup semis to Glasgow Ragazzi - their only defeat of the season.

Tomorrow, City face Edinburgh Jets in the fourth round. "We have two matches to play against Jets over the next few weeks," outlined McGuigan, "One is the cup tie and the other is the postponed match from Scotland players away at the internationals in Luxembourg last weekend."

City will have to do without Great Britain beach player Robin Miedzybrodzki, who has been transferred to Leeds Metropolitan.
