Volleyball: Jets gunning for Ragazzi

Edinburgh Jets aim to bring Glasgow Ragazzi back down to earth when they face them in the men's Schelde Sports Scottish League at St Augustine's High tomorrow.

Ragazzi are the only unbeaten side in the division just three matches into the season, but Jets had a notable five-set win at Dundee last weekend.

After losing to champions City of Edinburgh in their opener, Jets are now in a four-way tie for second place in a division that could hardly be tighter.

City of Edinburgh, who held off a third-set fightback to hand Kilmarnock Blaze their first loss last weekend, will expect to pick up full points at winless Troon PA.

Robin Miedzybrodzki has been a useful addition to the City squad this season, showing his hitting power last Saturday.

In the women's first division, leaders City of Edinburgh travel to South Ayrshire, Edinburgh Jets, currently third, host Su Ragazzi in a match which, even this early, will have a bearing on the play-off slots.
