Volleyball: Edinburgh bidding for glory

EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY take their volleyball squad south this weekend in a bid for glory at the men’s British Universities’ Final 8s at Leeds Metropolitan.

The Scottish student champions, coached by City of Edinburgh setter Graeme Spowart, booked their place in the finals with a straight-sets win over Durham at the Pleasance last month.

Edinburgh face Cambridge and Exeter tomorrow and round off their group with a match against Northumbria on Sunday.

The aim is a place in the top two and qualify for the final which will be held in Leeds next Wednesday.
