Volleyball: Cup test for unbeaten City

CITY OF EDINBURGH put their unblemished season on the line in the men's Scottish Volleyball Cup semi-finals against City of Glasgow Ragazzi at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall on Sunday.

For Ragazzi, former Great Britain player Jonny Herley has a back injury and is doubtful, while Scottish international Ali Galloway is expected to miss out as his wife is due to give birth.

Glasgow coach Tommy Dowens said: "Edinburgh have had a terrific season. We've had three matches against them this season and lost all three but there has been some great volleyball played in every match."

Before the semi-final, City of Edinburgh are on league business against Bon Accord in Aberdeen tomorrow, seeking to complete their regular season programme unbeaten.

In the women's cup semi-finals, Edinburgh Jets face league leaders Troon PA on Sunday and Su Ragazzi face non-league North Grampian.
