Volleyball: City hope to stay on top

Something has to give in the women's Schelde Sports Scottish League tomorrow when champions City of Edinburgh host Troon PA at Queensferry High School.

Both volleyball teams are unbeaten but Edinburgh have not dropped a single set in the league and it is enough to give them the narrowest of leads at the top of the table.

Edinburgh Jets travel to South Ayrshire tomorrow and will be confident of picking up full points.

In the men's first division, City of Edinburgh seek to close the gap on leaders City of Glasgow Ragazzi when they travel to face Dundee, still without a league win.

Simon Hammond will again operate as stand-in setter for Edinburgh.

Fifth-placed Edinburgh Jets are at Glasgow Mets for a match that could be significant when it comes to who makes the play-offs at the end of the season.
