Volleyball: City drop set but win again

CITY of Edinburgh dropped a rare set in their quest for their first men's Schelde Sports Scottish League volleyball title.

The Capital side surprisingly lost the second set to bottom-of-the-table Troon PA before winning 25-11, 25-27, 25-13, 25-16 at South Queensferry.

It is only the fourth set Edinburgh have given up in the league this season but the victory moves them four points clear of Glasgow Mets at the top of the table.

It was the only top-flight match played at the weekend due to international squad training.
