Volleyball: Capital four given call-up

SCOTLAND coach Simon Loftus has called up four players from Scottish volleyball cup finalists City of Edinburgh for next week's European "C" Championship finals in Andorra.

Barry McGuigan, Mike Penny, Jamie McHardy and Simon Hammond have all been named but former Edinburgh player Robin Miedzybrodzki has been ruled out after travelling to China for his first beach tournament of the year.

Scotland have been hit by a series of call-offs as Chris Lamont has been recalled by the Great Britain squad.

Paul Glissov, who has been playing in Germany, is also out due to a knee problem.
