Gala took the lead from a free-kick early in the game when Ainslie put the ball into his own goal. Eyemouth were awarded a penalty a minute later for a push by McBride and Shennan coolly scored the equaliser.

Eyemouth took the lead with a long cross to the corner of the box where Shennan sent a looping header into the far side of the goal. Shennan completed his hat-trick from a left wing cross that he drove home from just inside the area.

On the hour, a Shennan shot was saved at full stretch by Turnbull but Walker slotted home the rebound. Just a few minutes later, Aitchison chased a through ball with the bounce beating the Gala defenders and he shot home for Eyemouth's fifth. Just before full-time, substitute Slater out-jumped the Eyemouth defence to head home a cross from Wood.
