Uni golfers aim to score

EX-LOTHIANS champion Zander Culverwell and Craigielaw's Scottish internationalist Jane Turner will be aiming to make their presence felt in the Scottish Universities Championships starting tomorrow at Lossiemouth.

Culverwell, who is now at Stirling University, is part of a strong squad from that campus in action at Moray Golf Club. Turner, a student at Robert Gordon's in Aberdeen, will be the back-marker in the women's event in the absence of Scottish team-mate Kelsey MacDonald. Her main rivals are likely to be Scottish champion Megan Briggs and Welsh internationalist Gemma Bradbury, who is now at St Andrews University.
